The auto update function provides for a regular update of the router firmware.

The following elements are required to ensure the regular update of the router firmware:

Activation of the update server
Event for triggering the update
Firewall rule that permits the router to connect to the update server (already existing and configured in the router)

Besides the use of the INSYS icom update server, it is also possible to operate an own update server and configure it here.

Click in the Administration → Automatic update menu in the Server for automatic updates section in the row of the auto update server on and check the checkbox active.
Click on SUBMIT .
Click in the Events → Events menu on and add a new event:
- Event: select a regular occurring event that is supposed to trigger the automatic update(such as the change of an interface status to online or the expiry of a timer)
- Action: Start Auto Update
Click on SUBMIT .
Click in the Network → Firewall / NAT menu in the line of the already existing filter rule INSYS Update Server: allow HTTPS on and check the checkbox active.
Click on SUBMIT .
Click on ACTIVATE PROFILE .
To test the automatic update, click in the Administration → Update menu on START AUTO UPDATE NOW .
