# How does the MIRO retrieve its time information following a restart?

The MIRO does not have a buffered real-time clock and retrieves its time after a restart either using the cellular network (only with inserted SIM card and correct stored or disabled PIN, Status indication: RTC) or from the latest entry of the last log file stored on the router. This will be made regardless of and before a possibly configured time synchronisation via NTP.
