Click in the ![cog](https://docs.insys-icom.de/assets/icons/cog.png) *Administration* → *Config access* menu in the *Command line* section in the row of the access configuration on ![pencil](https://docs.insys-icom.de/assets/icons/pencil.png) and check the checkbox *Activate SSH*. 2. Click on **SUBMIT** . 3. Click on **ACTIVATE PROFILE** **![cog white](https://docs.insys-icom.de/assets/icons/cog_white.png)** . This permits access to the command line (CLI) of the router via an SSH connection. > [!NOTE] > Please note! > > It is not recommended to activate the unprotected Telnet connection.
