# New and Classic User Interface - icom OS Routers

The industrial routers from **INSYS icom** are configured using a browser-based user interface. **icom OS** has a new UI (user interface or web interface) from version **5.5**.

The [Configuration Guides](/kb/docs/en/configuration-guides-icom-os) are based on the **new UI**. The configuration in the **classic web interface** follows the same logic and the menus are structured in a similar way. Switching back to the classic web interface is always possible.

Click in the **new UI** on the *to the classic view* button on the right in the title bar to open this:

Click in the **classic web interface** on the New user interface button on the overview page to open this:

The **classic web interface** provides an **Inline help** that can be displayed using the **?** symbol *(Display help text)* in the title bar. It contains helpful information regarding each individual parameter.

The **Online-Hilfe** provides further information to the respective topics and can be opened in the *Help menu* in the **classic web interface**. It is also available as [online version](https://docs.insys-icom.de/online_help/m3/en_index.html) without a router.
