INSYS icom offers its customers industrial SIM cards for a reliable and affordable cellular connection in selected countries around the world.
A SIM card from INSYS icom, an account for the icom Connectivity Suite and a compatible device are all you need to use mobile services of INSYS icom. You only need to order SIM cards from INSYS icom and insert them into a compatible router from INSYS icom (or a third-party manufacturer) with a suitable antenna (to be purchased separately).
How to get your free M2M SIM card from INSYS
open the icom Connectivity Suite - M2M SIM page and click on REQUEST FREE M2M SIM CARD.
Complete the form and click on SEND NOW.
You will receive your M2M SIM card within a few days. Then register your card in the icom Connectivity Suite - M2M SIM. You can then assign a suitable rate plan to the card on the card information page and activate it.
Insert the SIM card into your router and use the Startup Wizard to get the router up and running..
Managing these SIM cards in the icom Connectivity Suite – M2M SIM makes it easy for technicians to keep mobile connections and connection costs under control. All cards are listed in a table on the SIM cards page. New cards can also be ordered here.
The detail page of a card can be opened using the dropdown list SIM cards. The selection can be narrowed down by entering a search string. | |
The timestamp indicates the last update of the device list in the table. A click on updates the list. | |
New cards can be registered using the + REGISTER NEW SIM CARD button. This opens the respective dialogue. |
The visible columns of the list can be set by a click on COLUMNS. A FILTER enables to filter the list for the desired content. Changes to columns and applied filters will be reset the next time the page is loaded.
EXPORT allows to export the visible content of the list after applying the filters to a CSV file (saved in the browser's download directory) or to print it. The name of the CSV file contains the time at which the data was generated and does not necessarily correspond to the time of export.
Depending on the configuration of the visible columns, the table contains the following columns:
The ICCID/USIM column lists the unique identification of this card. A click on it takes you to the Card information of this card.
The EID column indicates the Embedded Identification Document number of this card. The EID is the 32-digit identification number of an eSIM card and is used to manage eSIM profile downloads and activation.
The Device column indicates the device name assigned to this card. A click on it takes you to the Device information of this device.
The SIM State column indicates the current state of the SIM card.
Activated - the card is active and can be used
Test Ready - the card is ready for a connection establishment and allows a data traffic of 50 kB; if a rate plan is assigned to it, it will be activated automatically
Retired - the card has been cancelled and will be removed from the SIM portal at the end of the current billing period; it can no longer be used
Deactivated - the card has been deactivated and cannot establish a connection; it can be reactivated
The Session column shows the current connection status of this card (updating the status can take several minutes)
Active - the card is connected to the provider at the moment
Inactive the card is not connected to the provider at the moment
A click on the MB or SMS column opens a pop-up window with the usage data of this SIM card in the last months
The Alerts column indicates the number of alerts present for this card
The Rate plan column indicates the rate plan currently assigned to this card
The Contract no. column indicates with which Contract number this card has been ordered.
The Phone number column indicates the phone number of this card (hidden in default settings)
The Changed column indicates the timestamp of the last change
