Activating iRM On-Premises Licenses

To operate the On-Premises version of icom Router Management (iRM) in a production environment, valid licenses must be available. After purchasing a license for managing a specific number of routers, you will receive an email containing a delivery note and a license file.
Since INSYS does not have access to local installations, license validation is performed via the cloud-based version of iRM. A license file is generated in the cloud and then imported into the On-Premises installation to complete validation.

Prerequisites

To activate your licenses, you will need:

• The email with the delivery note and the CSV license file

• A running On-Premises installation of icom Router Management

• A user account for the iRM Cloud (not the same as your On-Prem login)

Step-by-Step Guide

Generate the License File in the Cloud Version

1. Log in to the Cloud version of icom Router Management:
   https://cloud.insys-icom.com/ui/login

   If you don’t have an account yet, please register. Cloud and On-Premises login credentials are not the same.

2. In the top bar user menu, go to:
   Settings → Licenses

3. Choose “Bulk Import” from the “Select action” dropdown.

4. Upload the CSV file with the license information you received from the INSYS sales team.
   
   

5. Review the displayed license data and click “Import”.

6. Select all licenses you want to activate and click “Activate now”.
   
   

7. Enter the serial number of your On-Premises installation (see below).

8. Choose the license start date.

9. Click “Activate and download”. The license file will be automatically downloaded to your local machine.

Where do I find the serial number of my iRM on-premises installation?

You can find the serial number in your On-Premises installation under: Administration → System Information.

Make sure you do not use the serial number from the Cloud version!

2. Upload the License File to iRM On-Premises

1. Log in to your On-Premises version of icom Router Management.

2. In the top bar user menu, go to:
   Settings → Licenses

3. Upload the previously downloaded license file in the upper section.

Once uploaded, the license is validated and active in your On-Premises installation.

Alternative: Manually Entering Individual Activation Codes

If you do not have access to the CSV file or encounter problems during the upload, you can also enter activation codes manually:

1. In the top bar user menu of the iRM Cloud version, go to:
   Settings → Licenses

2. Click “Add New License” in the top-right corner.

3. Enter the license numbers from the LICENSE NUMBER column of the CSV file one by one.

4. Then proceed from step 4 in the section Generate the License File in the Cloud Version.

Troubleshooting

• Avoid confusing Cloud and On-Premises versions:
  The user interfaces look nearly identical, but the systems are technically separate. Login credentials are not interchangeable, and each platform is managed independently.

• Verify the serial number:
  Always use the serial number of the On-Premises installation when generating the license.

• Correct file format:
  The uploaded file must follow the format provided by the INSYS sales team (CSV with valid license numbers).
