Overview - icom Connectivity Suite

The icom Connectivity Suite from INSYS icom provides a user-friendly common portal for easy management of their VPN and SIM card services.

The icom Connectivity Suite - VPN is a service of INSYS icom for the simple and secure network connection of locations, plants or mobile devices via a VPN network. The PCs and routers as well as locally connected network devices (e.g. Controls or measuring devices) connected via the icom Connectivity Suite – VPN are accessible in all networks. Simple rules enable to define which participants are allowed to connect with each other and which connections are not permitted.

The icom Connectivity Suite – M2M SIM is a service from INSYS icom for the simple management of the network operator-independent M2M SIM card for M2M and IoT applications.

The services are well integrated, but can also be used separately and independent of each other. Depending on the service, the portal offers the following options:

  • For the VPN service icom Connectivity Suite – VPN

    • Managing devices

    • Managing licences

    • Tracking activities

  • For the SIM card service icom Connectivity Suite – M2M SIM

    • Displaying and editing the SIM cards

    • Deactivating and activating SIM cards

    • Changing rate plans of SIM cards

    • Checking the usage history of SIM cards

    • Adding and assigning alerts for the usage of SIM cards

  • For both services

    • Checking the activities made in the portal

    • Managing the users of the portal

Important note regarding the user interface!

The user interface of the icom Connectivity Suite is being updated at the moment. While all configuration options are fully available in the classic user interface, the new user interface contains the most important options, but some less-used options are not yet available and will be added successively.

The classic user interface can be accessed at any time from the new user interface by clicking on To the classic view in the title bar.

In the same way, you can change to the new user interface at any time via the link in the classic user interface.

The following descriptions are primarily based on the new user interface. Wherever a change to the classic user interface is required, this is clearly described.
